Hi, I’m Rezarta and years ago I was in a similar position.
Despite the challenges I’ve faced as a single mother raising a child with special needs, an immigrant navigating a new country and language, and someone who has experienced significant trauma in their life, I worked tirelessly to build my career.
And yet, time and time again, I was overlooked for leadership positions that I knew I was ready for.
Despite these setbacks, I remained determined and eventually achieved an executive position, the journey to get here though is likely not what you would expect.
What I found was that while we’re taught that hard work and focusing on how to achieve your goals will get you there, it’s simply not the case. Mental health and spirituality play a much more crucial role in achieving success and happiness.
